Hospital Grade Receptacle

Quail Electronics, Inc. now has approval for the Hospital Grade Receptacle. When using extension cords in hospital environments, the green dot is required on both the plug and receptacle according to UL 817 Claus 27.1.

(27.1 An attachment plug, and connector shall be marked "Hospital Grade" and with a green dot. One or both markings on the face of the plug shall be permitted. The marking "Hospital Grade" shall also be permitted on other external surfaces of the plug and connector.)

China Tarriffs

China CCC Exemption

With new import regulations being put into place, businesses are having more difficulty importing product that was not China made into China. Products and materials that do not have CCC approvals on them, regardless if the product is eligible for such approvals are being rejected during the import process. (Example: A customer buys a European power cord that was manufactured in Taiwan, with the intention of forwarding the product to their contract manufacturer in China. When this cord reaches customs, it is being rejected due to not having CCC approval)

Currently many products are not eligible for CCC approvals, with this is mind there are a few ways to handle this situation. The preferred and simplest method would be applying for a CCC exemption. This can be done at https://www.china-certification.com/en/ccc-certification-exemption/. This is the method that most businesses are familiar with and are currently using.
